Stars turn out for 'Harry Potter' in NYC

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were among the stars who attended a screening of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 in New York.

The couple took their son James Wilkie, 8, to the premiere at Alice Tully Hall last night where they were snapped introducing him to actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger).

"[Sarah Jessica Parker's] son is a big Harry Potter fan. We've spoken on a number of occasions. She's a big fashion icon of mine," Watson was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

Other stars in attendance included Glee newcomer Darren Criss, Liam Neeson, Madonna's daughter Lourdes and Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe.

Keri Russell, Rob Thomas, Melissa Joan Hart, new Skating With The Stars judge Johnny Weir and former 'N Sync singer Joey Fatone also walked the black carpet.

Watson attended the screening alongside brother Alex while co-stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) were also present at the star-studded event.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is released on Friday.
