Diesel wants to be in 'Fantastic Four'

Vin Diesel has revealed that he would like to play a villain in the Fantastic Four.

Diesel, who is returning to the Fast And Furious franchise this weekend, said that he wants to play a bad guy in two of the upcoming Fantastic Four films, WENN reports.

"I would be more apt to play a villain," he told MTV News. "I'd like to play the protagonist of a story that is also like a Marvel villain, like Doctor Doom or something."

The action star also said that he is "not interested in taking a superhero role", claiming that he "makes his own superhero characters instead".

20th Century Fox recently announced plans to reboot the Fantastic Four films.

'Gossip' star 'plagued by 'Footloose' fans'

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has reportedly been plagued by Footloose fans since rumours surfaced that he has auditioned for the Paramount reboot.

The actor, who plays Nate Archibald in the CW drama, was reported to have screen-tested for the movie following Zac Efron's departure last week.

"They had to beef up security because more girls have been showing up to set every day singing 'Footloose' to him. He couldn't take it anymore, so he's leaving town tomorrow," an unnamed source told E! News.

The original Footloose saw Kevin Bacon arrive in a small town where dancing has been outlawed. Earlier, Efron told Entertainment Weekly that he had ditched the movie for fear of being typecast in musical roles.

Representatives for Crawford and the film have declined to comment.

Jackie Earle Haley Cast as Freddy in Nightmare on Elm Street Reboot

Variety has confirmed LatinoReview’s rumor that Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley has signed on to play Freddy Kruger in Platinum Dunes’ A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot. Also, BloodyDisgusting has learned that Kyle Gallner (The Haunting In Connecticut) is in final talks to play Quentin, the podcast host and Johnny Depp character from the original Wes Craven film.

Producer Brad Fuller had initially denied the Heley casting reports, saying: “I can absolutely deny [this rumor]. We have not chosen a Freddy Krueger we’re not even negotiating with anyone yet.” Which again proves that you can’t trust anything producers say during the initial casting stages.

After being burned alive by a mob of angry parents, a pre-school gardener/caretaker named Freddy returns for revenge against the children, now 18 years old, that accused him of sexual abuse. But was Freddy a child molester or was he falsely accused? This is the central question and main addition to the film’s plot. The reboot is also supossedly scarier in tone, as the film’s producers have said Freddy doesn’t joke around.

Haley was nominated for an Academy Award for playing a child molester in Little Children, and next plays a crazy mental patient in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Shutter Island. Most readers probably know him as Rorschach in Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Watchmen.
