Andrew Garfield: 'I get off on exploring'
Andrew Garfield has said that he "gets off" on acting in roles outside of his comfort zone.
Garfield revealed in an interview with Movie City News that taking on diverse characters helps stop him from getting bored with his work.
"I think I'd probably be lying if I said I don't get off on exploring something that's very different to my comfort zone, or something that I'm bored of in myself," he said.
"I think that's definitely a part of what excites me about acting - accessing parts of yourself that you're too afraid to access in your actual life, where that will have repercussions."
Garfield, whose credits include Boy A, The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus and The Social Network, will play Spider-Man in director Marc Webb's upcoming superhero revamp.
The 27-year-old added of his approach to choosing roles: "I just think predominantly it's difficult to find scripts and stories that are actually of worth and depth.
"I just consider myself very lucky in that I've managed to stumble into being a small cog in a beautiful machine for the very few movies that I've done. I
