"Tron" sequel being developed


The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Walt Disney Pictures is moving forward with a "Tron" sequel for commercial director Joseph Kosinski to develop and direct...

Steven Lisberger, writer and director of the original "Tron," is producing along with Sean Bailey. Lisberger had been developing the sequel for years but plans repeatedly fell through.

Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (TV's "Lost") are penning the screenplay though details of the story are being guarded. Kosinski will have input into the story.

The original 1982 film was ground breaking in its use of computer imagery and told of a computer programmer who is thrown into a game world in which he helped create.

Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans

Bill Nighy will return as Viktor and Shane Brolly as Kraven in Lakeshore Entertainment's Underworld 3: The Rise Of The Lycans, which will be released theatrically by Sony Screen Gems. They join the previously announced Michael Sheen and Rhona Mitra in the film being helmed by FX guru Patrick Tatopoulos. The prequel is set in the Dark Ages and traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their one-time werewolf slaves, the Lycans. Production begins mid-January in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Happening
is a 2008 American film written, co-produced and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It stars Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. Production began in August in Philadelphia. The Happening will be released on Friday, June 13, 2008, deliberately planned to fall on Friday the 13th.



The Dark Knight is a 2008 American superhero film based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman. The film is a direct sequel to the 2005 release Batman Begins, which rebooted the Batman franchise after an eight-year hiatus. Christopher Nolan, director of Batman Begins, continues as the director of the sequel, which stars Christian Bale again as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker. The film follows Batman becoming more of a detective, dealing with the escalated situation from the end of Batman Begins as well as the dilemma of his vigilante crusade, and his friendship with district attorney Harvey Dent, played by Aaron Eckhart.
