Elizabeth Olsen's Avengers 2 costume "respects" Scarlet Witch roots

Elizabeth Olsen has said that her Avengers: Age of Ultron costume "respects" the Scarlet Witch's comic book roots. The actress said that her costume would not be quite as revealing as the one traditionally portrayed by Marvel Comics. "We've done some costume stuff, yeah," she told Total Film. "My favourite piece is my secrecy cloak that prevents anyone from seeing what I'm wearing. There's a hood, and a robe - it protects the image. She continued: "I don't think Joss [Whedon] ever would have hired me, honestly, if he wanted me to wear those [comic book] outfits. I am not a professional athlete and nor am I a model. Wearing those costumes wouldn't be fun for anyone who wasn't those things. "He already had a different idea. It respects and involves the comic-book character but it's different, more rooted. It's for someone today... If someone walked around wearing what she wore in the comics, people would stop and say, 'What the hell... she thinks she's a superhero!'" Picture WENN

Tupac biopic hires director John Singleton

John Singleton has signed up to make the long in-development Tupac Shakur biopic.The Oscar-nominated Boyz n the Hood filmmaker will direct, produce and re-write the script for the project, which chronicles the rapper's rise to fame and his murder in Las Vegas in 1996. Singleton worked with Tupac on the 1993 romantic drama Poetic Justice, which starred Janet Jackson as a hairdresser who composes poetry to help her deal with the death of her first boyfriend."Tupac was the guy who I planned to do a lifetime of films with," Variety quotes Singleton as saying."His passing deeply affected my life as well as countless people in this world. Mad Men's January Jones joins supernatural thriller The Shuddering

January Jones has been cast in The Shuddering. The Mad Men actress will star in director George Ratliff's supernatural thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It centres around a woman (Jones) who returns to a town where she once experienced bizarre visions. She uses them to get to the bottom of a mystery that stretches back further than she ever imagined. Production will begin on the film in the summer after Jones wraps the final season of Mad Men. The Shuddering was written by The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia scribe David Coggeshall. Olivia Wilde joins psychological thriller Meadowland

Olivia Wilde has been cast in psychological thriller Meadowland. The Drinking Buddies actress will also produce the film from first-time director Reed Morano, reports Deadline. Wilde will star as a mother who has lost her son. She begins on the path to acceptance when she turns her attention to a neglected young boy. Wilde was most recently seen in Her and Rush. Morano has served as cinematographer on films including Kill Your Darlings, Frozen River and The Skeleton Twins. Meadowland will begin shooting in New York in July. Image Copyright of : WENN

The Office actor joins Cate Blanchett film Carol

Jake Lacy has joined the cast of Todd Haynes's Carol. The Office actor will star opposite Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara in the upcoming adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's novel The Price of Salt. 'm Not There filmmaker Haynes will direct the 1950s-set project, which focuses on a young woman (Mara) in New York who finds herself obsessed with another woman (Blanchett) after meeting in a store. Lacy will play Mara's character's boyfriend Richard in the film. The Price of Salt was originally published back in 1952 under Highsmith's pseudonym. It was notorious at the time due to its lesbian storyline that moved away from stereotypical homosexual characters. Jake Lacy recently starred in the comedy film Obvious Child, while he also featured in the pilot of Fox sitcom The Goodwin Games, before being replaced by TJ Miller. First Photo Of Lady Sif On "SHIELD"

The first photo is out of Jaimie Alexander reprising her "Thor" character Lady Sif in an upcoming episode of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD". Titled "Yes Men," the 15th episode of the season sees Sif, ordered to Earth by Odin, to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. Co-showrunner Jed Whedon tells Zap2It: "It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor's world." The language barrier also leads to some comedic gags. The episode in question airs March 11th.

"The Dark Tower" Is Still On Hold

Nothing had been heard about the ambitious film and TV adaptation of Stephen King's epic fantasy novel series "The Dark Tower" for some time. Then, a few weeks ago, former "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul let slip he'd had a sit down with Ron Howard and the possibility of Paul starring in a role came up. Sadly, despite that, the film remains in limbo for now. Writer/producer Akiva Goldsman, currently out doing promotion for his new directorial effort "Winter's Tale," tells Collider: "It’s not officially back on and we will never let it go – until Stephen takes it away from us. [Laughs]" Asked if the filmmakers are currently making casting decisions, Goldsman says: "No, but I love reading about it."
