Russell Crowe 'wouldn't play a superhero'
Russell Crowe has revealed that he does not want to play a cartoon or superhero.
The actor said that he is often approached to star in movies but is waiting patiently for something that he is interested in.
When asked by the BBC if he is spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing film parts, he replied: "Man, it's like the needle in the haystack. The business itself is shaping itself around event films, which are quite often cartoons or superheroes, and it's just not my thing. You just have to be patient."
The 46-year-old also insisted that he has been misrepresented and is not aggressive like his reputation suggests.
He explained: "I'm not sure I ever deserved that reputation. I mean, I certainly can't compete with the likes of Charlie Sheen. I don’t mean anything negative by that, sorry Charlie, mate.
"A lot of that is the gap that opens up between who you really are as a person and the characters that you play. I have never bothered to fill that information in, so I've left a whole bunch of air for other people to fill in for me."
