Hasselhoff 'wants Price for UK Baywatch'

David Hasselhoff has reportedly claimed that he wants Katie Price to star in a British version of his former show Baywatch.

The glamour model is thought to be among the favourites to take on the role of lifeguard CJ Parker, made famous in the original series by Pamela Anderson.

"I’ve been thinking about basing a new show over here. It would be called UK-Watch. And Jordan is certainly feisty and has curves in all the right places," he is quoted as telling the Daily Star.

Hasselhoff previously branded Price "stunning" and suggested that they could "have a lot of fun together" if they were both single.

Price is thought to have already held discussions with some of Hollywood's biggest agencies about the possibility of launching a movie career. She recently jetted to Los Angeles for a holiday, but it has been rumoured that she may take acting classes while there.

'Twilight' director not feeling any pressure

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has admitted that she does not feel any pressure to match the enormous success of the vampire romance.

Speaking to Reuters, the filmmaker claimed that it was "not healthy" to measure her future achievements against the box office hit, which grossed over $300 million worldwide.

"I don't think that's possible [to top it], and I don't think that's a healthy way to think. Twilight was a phenomenon - the stars just aligned on that film," she said.

"Thank God Ridley Scott didn't stop after Blade Runner. He made Thelma and Louise and Gladiator and a million other interesting movies. I still want to make other good films that won't lose money."

When asked how her career had changed since the film, she replied: "Right now, I can say in a meeting, 'Well on Twilight this is how we did it and this is how we made it work'. And people go, 'Oh wow, that movie made money'. They listen to me a little bit more than before."

Hardwicke, who penned a behind-the-scenes companion to the movie, withdrew from helming the sequel New Moon last year.

Affleck: 'Acting not important as family'

Ben Affleck has claimed that having a family is more important than his movie career.

The He's Just Not That Into You actor admitted that he is happy to play the real-life roles of husband to actress Jennifer Garner and father to the couple's two daughters, Violet, 3, and 6-month-old Seraphina, Contactmusic reports.

He said: "Work has taken a back seat. My job is not as important as it was. Saying that having a family changed my life is a cliché. But it's true - it rearranged my life and made me see clearly."

Affleck previously said that he and his spouse often clash over household chores.

Paris Hilton to testify in film publicity trial

Paris Hilton is expected to testify at trial tomorrow following accusations that she failed to carry out the required promotion for her 2006 movie Pledge This!.

The socialite has denied allegations by the World Entertainment Group that her reported lack of publicity for the sorority comedy caused the DVD distributor to lose more than $8.3 million.

Speaking during a deposition in May, the 28-year-old insisted that she "did my best" to promote the film at "any chance I got".

Pledge This!, which starred Hilton as the snobbish president of a college sorority, bombed at the box office, taking around $2.3 million worldwide.

The lawsuit is seeking more than $8 million from Hilton and her film company. The heiress is currently filming her reality show My BFF in Dubai.

Remo Williams returns for 'Destroyer'

Action hero Remo Williams will be revived in new Columbia Picture project The Destroyer, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Originating in Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir's adventure novels, the character is a New Jersey police officer who is sent down for a crime he didn't commit. He fakes his own death in the electric chair and reinvents himself as a vigilante named the Destroyer.

Fred Ward played the character in the 1985 film Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. A TV spinoff was made three years later with Jeffrey Meek starring as Williams.

Charley Parlapanide and Vlas Parlapanide will script the new take on the role, which will be based on the first book in the series and tell the character's genesis story.

The Dark Knight's Charles Roven and Transporter's Steve Chasman will produce The Destroyer.

Lucas 'left scarred by sex scenes'

Josh Lucas has said that he hated filming sex scenes for his new movie because he had to spend a whole day with naked strangers.

The Poseidon actor, who plays a sex-mad con man in Death in Love, had to simulate sex with nine different women for the role.

The star admitted that the scenes left him feeling dirty and "strange", saying: "I filmed nine very hardcore sex simulation scenes with women I never met. At the end of the day I felt crazy!" Even when the actor went to sleep he said that his "dreams were pretty weird".

He went on to joke: "You're sharing body fluids whether you like it or not. I could never be a porn star. I was shook up. I did not walk away from that thinking 'Oh that was fun'."

Lucas, who was rumoured to be dating The Notebook actress Rachel McAdams earlier this year, says that he is now hoping to star in a family-friendly movie.

Stiller plotting 'Dodgeball' sequel?

Ben Stiller met cyclist Lance Armstrong to discuss a potential Dodgeball sequel earlier this week, say reports.

Armstrong cameoed in the 2004 comedy, but Stiller apparently wants the seven-times Tour de France winner to have a large role in a potential follow-up.

According to Yahoo, the new film is likely to be "infused with cycling influences". It has also been suggested that Vince Vaughan and Chuck Norris, who appeared in the original, will be replaced by George Hincaple and Jens Voight.

Armstrong revealed that he had met Stiller in a Twitter post, which apologised for his late arrival at a Tour de France signing.

"Sorry we were late for the sign-on this morning," he wrote. "It was Stiller's fault."

Stiller has previously hinted at a sequel to his fashionista comedy Zoolander and is currently working on the third instalment in his Meet The Parents franchise.
