Ralph Fiennes has revealed that his character of Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series is akin to the devil.
Fiennes spoke to MTV News at the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, declaring that the last two movies have been his favourites to film because they allowed him to reveal the extent of Voldemort's evil.
"You have to embrace the totality of his evilness," the actor said. "He's like the devil."
Fiennes also added that he had to get up at 5am while shooting to undergo two-and-a-half hours in the make-up chair, but that it helped him get into character.
"[It's a] certain look that you have helps you locate who you're being. You look at yourself in the mirror, you see this face, and you say, 'I know who I am', " he said.
