Daniel Radcliffe 'more self-assured at 10'

Daniel Radcliffe has joked that he was probably "more self-assured" as a child than he is now.



The Harry Potter actor, 21, was appearing on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Monday when the host asked if he ever watched the early films and thought he had been a "cute" child star.



"No... I sometimes see myself in interviews when I was 10 or 11 and think, 'Wow, I did well then!'" said Radcliffe. "I was much more self-assured then than I am now, I think, but I don't watch any of the films back. I've never seen any of them since they were released."



The actor, who plays the titular character in the magical franchise, also joked that doing press for the current instalment, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, had brought back the emotions he felt when filming on the entire saga ended five months ago.



"We all grew up together and it's ten years of our lives we spent together, so for it now to be over is very weird," he said. "Especially this week because we are doing all the press for it and stuff and people are saying, 'So, you must be really sad.' I'm like, 'I was fine until you brought it up again! Five months ago we were all crying and now you're bringing it up again!'"



Radcliffe attended the New York premiere of Deathly Hallows: Part 1 alongside his co-stars including Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) last night.



Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 opens this Friday. Late Night With Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights on NBC.
