Yates to direct final Potter movie?

David Yates will direct Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, a children's author has claimed.

Speculation has been rife over who will helm the final movie in the franchise, with Steven Spielberg recently rumoured to be in the frame.

However, author Lois Lowry announced on her blog that Yates will take the reins after directing previous instalments Harry Potter And The Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.

She claimed that he had postponed new movie The Giver to take on the job.

The news has not been confirmed by Warner Bros.
