Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is being developed by LucasArts, Dark Horse Comics, Lego, Hasbro, and Del Rey Books, as a video game, tie-in novel, action figures, comic book, reference book and role-playing game supplement.All materials are scheduled for release, August 26, 2008.The game takes place between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.The player assumes the role of secret apprentice to 'Darth Vader', sent across the galaxy to destroy the 'Jedi'.The game will be released on seventh-generation consoles PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, second generation N-Gage and the sixth generation console PlayStation 2.
